You know Netflix: you log in and stream a movie or a show. They provide entertainment. You provide your own food. Right?

Well, not anymore, it’s not. Now, at least if you are in Las Vegas, you can watch Netflix and eat Netflix.

Netflix Bites, that is.Netflix Bites is a new restaurant that opened at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Described as a one-year culinary residency, the restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner — with each menu item inspired by a hit Netflix show or movie, including Bridgerton, Stranger Things, Squid Game, One Piece, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and more.

Netflix Bites is also a feast for the eyes. It immerses customers with visuals, many rendered tongue-in-cheek, inspired by the Netflix shows.

Josh Simon, Netflix’s VP of consumer products, says they approached the creation of Netflix Bites as they would make a movie or TV show. “It’s grounded in storytelling. We start with our fan favorites, particularly ones with very rich worlds, characters and stories that give us a creative jumping off point to bring to life in menu form,” he says.

“…Grounded in storytelling”. This is a hugely important statement. In the “people industry,” be it a convenience store, a QSR, or any other retail establishment, the most successful brands always have a story to tell, and not always with words. Sometimes, the product itself is a story, too.

The key is to tell a story — or offer a product — that resonates with the needs of your customers, satisfies their expectations, and makes them come back for more.

Admittedly, this is not easy, and requires the retailer to conduct an in-depth study of the target audience. If you don’t have deep pockets and a large data analytics department, the only way to do this is by hooking up with an expert partner. One of such partners is Ticon – a recognized leader in data analytics for the retail industry. Especially after its recent announcement of getting an exclusive deal with Atlanta-native startup Map AI for its ultra-precise demographics analysis, Ticon has a unique advantage when it comes to supplying comprehensive datasets required for retail performance management & store performance management.

Armed with this highly granular and accurate set of data, you can make important strategic decisions based on your target audience’s needs, way ahead of the competition, and without breaking a bank (or a sweat).

Do you want to be among the winners? Contact Ticon today to get to know your customers, like never before.
