Tri Star Energy, parent company of Twice Daily convenience stores and White Bison Coffee, now offers 24/7 delivery through the mobile app and DoorDash.

The new service will allow the guests throughout the two chains' middle Tennessee and north Alabama footprints to order goods directly from their smartphones.

The most exciting part of this not-so-unique development is the expected increase in sales, projected to reach 55%.

There’s no data yet on how much the delivery service will cost to the company, especially with the delivery fees on a non-stop raising curve.

But what caught our eye is that the users of the mobile app, placing the delivery orders, are called “guests” – thus we italicized that word in the second paragraph, above, hoping to catch your attention.

A guest is someone who crosses your threshold. Someone texting you to send them a sandwich is not a guest. A customer, yes, but not a guest.

And the difference is tangible, not just verbal. It is shown in real money. A customer visiting the store – a real guest – spends more time and more money, is 37% more likely to make impulse purchases, and 59% more likely to become a repeat visitor.

App and delivery users are not so likely to bother taking a trip to the store. This means fewer trips, which means using less gas, which means – that’s right – not filling up at your pump.

It is important to be aware of the latest trends. It is great to find which of them work for you and your business, and which may be, in the long term, detrimental to your bottom line.

It helps to KYC (Know Your Customer) before making radical changes to the existing business processes. At Ticon, we are serving our customers with the most accurate, up-to-date, and granular data in the industry. Ticon is a data analytics company, but our roots are in traffic engineering, and this unique combination of skills gives us an edge over the competition when it comes to making sure that traffic counts and demographic analysis are up-to-date, meaningful, and relevant to the location of interest.

Come and ask for a sample of our popular C-Site Insight™ report enhanced for operational needs, and schedule a private chat to learn about the nuggets of useful information we can show you for your site.

And the good news is, you don’t have to pay DoorDash for the delivery of demographic reports by address as well.
